My choice for the water event fell on this, a somewhat impressionistic painting, of a waternymph. Hopefully she will attract votes and not a ban to the NSFW section!
Painted on a recycled budget 10"x12" canvas, prepared with black gesso and liquid clear. Only four colours were used for this, namely ivory black, T-white, brigh red and dark umber. In total some 80 minutes of which the easiest part were the wave and the sea, the hardest was to get the nymph's boobs in balance!
Thanks to Sunnylady for helping to choose the name for this creation which is, by the way, my 200th creation!!
Enjoy/vote this new creation please and till next event!!
Congrats on 200th Voy! I love it!
200 ππ she reminds me of a singer when I was growing up, Sabrina I think her name was? ππ€£π€£
Heather and Felix, thanks for the cheers! Yes, 200, I keep a seperate database of all creations and they are numbered according to production date. I had an NSFW ready but really wanted this one to be nr. 200!
Nivek, yesssss. Sabrina Salerno! Scored a major hit in her white swimsuit in 1987. I was 22 then and like everybody else .... in LOVE!!!! π₯°
Voy..You rock!!Congrats!!
Pietro! Making my day again!
Thank you and bless you my friend!!
I see a lot of freedom in this one! I love the impressionistic look and feel here! She enjoys herself!
Wonderful painting Voy!
No painting of mine is complete without your sweet comments Sunnylady!!
Freedom ... never thought of that but it is true. She's alone and dares to show her joy, no matter what.
You are my best art critic!! π€
Voy, I see this as a fountain, she looks great and the foreground splashes really make the painting. Congratulations on your 200. And it gets a vote from me!
Super TLP, thank you!
Indeed, als omy family says it's a fountain. truth is ... this was actually intended as a sea wave yet it came out so perfect that I did not there to alter it.
So yes, it's a fountain!! 'La dolce vita' relived!!
You know what, I change the title! Briungs more justice to the scene!!
Thanks TLP!!
No problem Voy, thanks to your happy accident people around the world will be looking in fountains for scantily clad ladies!
Congrats on your 200th painting! I like how everyone sees the background differently - in my case I see a waterfall. But everyone can agree on the joy and freedom of the nymph! Sheβs wonderful. Congrats!
Haha, indeed Lilikens, 'the joy and freedom of the nymph'. Yet another great title for this!!
love this, I thinking about adding some people into my paintings
Worth to try Jayne! Proportions and colour mean a lot except if you want to paint silhouettes cause those are more easy and only require basic proportions.
Success!
Oh dear, my precious nymph did not make the top three!
Luckily she made top-20 though!! π
Sheβs amazing in my book!
Mmmmmm, love you baby!!! πππ
